The Trapananda is a speculative design project by Valentina Rodríguez Peede, a Patagonian journalist, created as her final project for the Master’s degree in Design for Art Direction at the University of the Arts London.
In a world on the brink of environmental collapse, The Trapananda envisions a dystopian future where humanity must reconnect with nature for survival, rejecting modern artificiality in favour of meaningful, immersive interactions with the natural world.
Presented as a campaign featuring posters, a newspaper (featured below), and other media, The Trapananda was brought to life by a group of contributing artists, including myself.

Ecotherapy
Ecotherapy captures humanity’s desperate attempt to fuse once again with the natural world, paying long-overdue dividends to the Earth they have so relentlessly exploited—chasing the almighty dollar, scrolling their way to death through glittery feeds that blind them to their surroundings. The animals welcome humanity’s return, torn between a thirst for vengeance and a desire to facilitate the transformation. Yet, in the end, the almighty dollar prevails once more. Monkey see, monkey do.
